Dear Hohokam Family,
This is a busy time of year and there are many opportunities for you to be involved in your child’s education. Although we encourage families to be on campus and participate in the activities we offer, we also realize that it can be difficult due to work schedules. Here are some simple things that all parents can do at home to help your children.
· Talk with your child about the school day.
· Read with your children—every day if possible. Discuss what they have read.
· Supervise your children’s homework. Make sure they have a place to work.
· Encourage your child to write.
· Provide learning experiences outside of school: trips to parks, libraries, zoos, and museums.
· Communicate that education is important and encourage your children to do well in school.
· Promote good discipline: clearly define rules, limits, consequences, and enforce them.
· Encourage exercise and good nutrition.
Sincerely,
Mr. Caudle
